Students, who satisfy the following criteria, are eligible to apply for the CSMT Scholarship:

·        Be registered at UTB/TSC at least half-time (6 credit hours or more) during the award period

·        Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0

·        Have a declared major in mathematics.

 

Students may apply for a Talent Scholarship (for undergraduate and graduate students) or an Incentive Scholarship (For Juniors and Seniors only).  Specific criteria to be satisfied are given on the application.

The completed scholarship application and a transcript must be submitted by July 22, 2010.  Mathematics majors should submit these items to Dr. Tony Lerma, either directly or through the Department of Mathematics office.  For those students majoring in another discipline from the CSMT, the contact person is listed on the application.

Scholarship recipients may apply the scholarship to one of the following periods: fall 2010, spring 2011, May session 2011, Summer I, 2011, or Summer II, 2011.  The student must indicate his/her choice on the application and must be enrolled during that period to qualify.

The completed scholarship application and a transcript must be submitted to the Dr. Tony Lerma, either directly or through the Department of Mathematics Office by July 22, 2010.  The attached Nepotism form must also be completed, signed, dated, and submitted with the application.
