Associate of Applied Science in Nursing 
Basic Program

 

Nursing courses are offered only in the semester sequence as outlined in the required curriculum. Enrollment in the professional nursing program is limited by the availability of resources.  In the event that the number of applicants meeting the minimum requirements exceeds the enrollment limitation, the selection of the persons to be admitted will be based on an individual evaluation. Transfer courses will be considered on an individual basis.

** Capstone experiences:  RNSG 2166 is a course taught in the last semester.  The learning experiences in this course result in a consolidation of the program content.  Licensure is accomplished through the NCLEX-RN© exam.

Completion of a capstone examination with 900 or higher is required to be eligible for graduation from the Associate Degree Program.

Note: At present, LVN Advanced Placement classes are accepted in August and January.  See Admissions for an application packet and deadlines.  Nursing course offerings for the LVN Advanced Placement Track will be made in the semester sequence deemed appropriate by the Associate Degree Program faculty, depending upon the availability of resources and potential enrollment.
