The purpose of the Academic Senate shall be to provide a forum for elected representatives of the faculty and academic professional staff, such as librarians, counselors and adult continuing education instructors, hereafter called Senators, and appointed administrators to meet, discuss, and make recommendations on matters pertaining to the University including the partnership with Texas Southmost College.                 Academic Senate Constitution

The Academic Senate offers this site as a resource to the UTB/TSC faculty and academic professional staff. Use this site to become informed about issues of importance to higher education and to communicate your concerns to your elected representatives. Under Members you will find a list of the officers and senators with links to their email addresses. Contact these elected officials and express your concerns. Review the agenda for the next meeting or previous meetings under Agenda. Use the Minutes button to access the minutes of the Academic Senate meetings. Under Resolutions you can review the resolutions passed by the Academic Senate and trace their outcome. The Calendar button will take you to a list of meeting dates arranged by body, including the Academic Senate, TSC Board, UTB/TSC Partnership Committees, and state faculty organizations. Use the Committees button to review the charge, see the membership and contact the chairs of Academic Senate,  Standing University, Technical, and Special/Adhoc Committees.
